From Thanksgiving to Christmas Party

So things are coming to a close now. I find myself running around like crazy to get everything done. Sorry its been a few weeks since my last post, but ive been really busy haha.
Anyway Thanksgiving was really cool here we had about 60 people and it was really fun. The food was amazing, i think i must have gained about 10 pounds haha. We did the thanksgiving in the werkstatt which is at the church. We watched the packers vs lions game as well, whats thanksgiving without football :-)
Currently they ran out of heating oil at the bible college, so pray that it comes soon so the students arn't freezing. Always be keeping the bible college finances in your prayers too. As the semester is winding down, it seems like it always winds up because there is so much to do. We are now done with our christmas party, and are now gearing up towards graduation. All students are now working on there finals, and are working really hard, so keep the students and teachers strength and energy in your minds as well.
Graduation is always a big event, all the graduates this year are German, and off campus students, only 3 , which is good for us, cause its not that many people we have to say goodbye too ;-) but still saying goodbye to any students knowing we arn't going to be seeing them for awhile is always hard. This week me and Patrick have to move out of our little apartment, it being included with the cafe rent, the bible college is getting rid of both, so we have to be out of there. So im packing everything up this weekend :-( With this alot of cleaning is involved too, cause we want to leave the place better then we found it, leaving a good witness :-)  Again next semester with the cafe being at the church cafe just pray everything goes smoothly with this, as well as with everything that is involved with this change over.
Couple things happened this past week, Arne are director got into a bike accident and has a huge black eye, and 2 broken fingers. He also has 2 little children and im sure this is tough on his wife as well as him at this time, so pray for this whole situation. Then we had the christmas party, and getting the college ready for christmas too so that has been on the upside.
So in closing, my flight back to america is on Dec 15th, i will be back for 3 and a half weeks, and leaving again on the 11 of January getting into germany at the 12th. SO i will see all you guys back in america soon, but seeing as this will be a month apart for me and Sara, please pray that the Lord would strengthen us at this time. Also, pray for my wisdom with dealing with time management, as well, as managing all that i have to with bible college, Sara, Taxes, Work, and everything i have to do for my personal spiritual life too.
Thank you guys, and many blessings in the Holiday season

Speaker Week

(Raphael and Rob)
So speakers week went really well, we had 2 great speakers Raphael Manzinarez
who is the director of the bible college in Mallorca, Spain, and Rob Dingman
who is a missionary to London, England. Rob taught on the importance of
dilligence, and Raph about the holy spirit, and ways that we can grieve, and
quench the holy spirit, both were really convicting, and amazing to hear. I hope
to see if we can get the sessions up and online so that you guys might get a
chance to hear them as well, Prayer requests for the 2. Raph is hoping that the Lord will bless him and his wife Loretta with a child, so pray for that, and also with Rob for the missionary work in England, currently they are looking for a new church building.
Other than that the week flew by, with dinner with Sara's family. To keggeln (german bowling) on thursday, it went really quick, sadly though yet another cold has swept through the bible college, and this time i got it, i was even sick on my birthday thursday haha. Anyway though please pray for the health of the bible college as colds are very nasty here at the school. Also, in reguards to health, yesterday Arne are director was nearly hit by a car while he was on his bike, but in missing the car he stopped really fast, flew over the handlebars, and now has 2 broken fingers, and  black eye. I am driving him to a doctors appointment this afternoon.
This Friday now is thanksgiving here at the bible college, and is always a big thing here. We will be serving 55 people, and its just such a nice time. With this though there is alot of work to be done, so please pray for this, and for Karen who is heading the whole thing up. Pray as well that we all that have colds will be over it by the time friday rolls around.
Financially the bible college isn't doing well, it is listed in my prayer requests already, but i really want to ephasise how much the bible college needs prayer for this. As well in reguard to finances, i mentioned earlier about my cell phone troubles, and well i talked to the company, and they said they would give me a 100euro credit, but with this they could have just been messing with me over the phone. I go in and pay this thursday, so please keep me in your prayers with this.
With paintball, the event was cancelled, the church told me last minute they werent comfortable with having us go and playing a "war game" which i respect the discision, and will abide by it. Pray we find other ways either this semester, or next semester to connect the youth/ church more with the bible college.

Well thats it for now, keep praying guys, and God bless you all, hope to be back in philly around the 16 or 19th of Dec. for all of my friends back home.
     Grace and Peace

Paintball!!

one of the goals and prayers for this semester, is to unify the youth group with the bible college more. With this we are doing a paintball event for the youth, and the bible college Friday Nov 18th. Please be praying that many people would come, and that this would be a great time of fellowship and friendships to form.

Getting Started

Well after a long time, of not being able to keep in contact with you guys all at the same time. Pretty much everybody out here i talked to about this issue told me that making a blog is the easiest way, So here it is :-)

SO if i havn't talked to you at all in about a year, please remember, that doesn't mean that i don't care, with everything i have going on out here, its just really tough.

So when i came out here alittle while ago, january, it was the last semester of my internship here. During that time i worked with the A/V aspect of things here at the college, and it was a really great semester, it was hard to say goodbye to old friends, some who have been here for 2 years, but i know the Lord will bless them as they are on there way.
After the semester i went to Austria which was amazing. I wasn't able to find work back home, so i feel that was the best option for the summer, and the Lord blessed it so i guess it was :-) So with this i was working with James Gucciardo (the guy who set up the phone system to call to America) doing electrical work, it was a great summer. Thats also where i met my girlfriend Sara :-)
Now though we are halfway through another semester of bible college. after the castle i came back again to work here at the bible college in Siegen, Germany. This semester my duties are grounds duties once again so it was alot of work getting all the leaves up this semester, most of the time, as soon as i was done blowing the driveway down, i would have to do it again haha. Most of the leaves are down though, so im getting alittle bit of a break now. My other duty here is teaching the Men's Discipleship class. With this we are going through the book of Joshua, and learning from him, and the others in the book how to be better men of God ( im currently trying to figure out a way to link my classes to my blog so you guys can hear the teaching as well).
Also i was able to lead an outreach this semester, we went down to Freiburg, which is south west . It was a very amazing outreach, and we had a great time fellowshipping at the church and teaching the wednesday night service, leading a homegroup, and then teaching the Friday night youth group as well ( I lead thats one) .
Outside of that, we had amazing times on the streets doing street witnessing, and as well, one day we were extremely tired, and really weren't up to going up and talking to people, so the Lord actually brought people to us!! this usually dosn't happen, but people were coming up to us, asking us questions and were generally interested. It was so cool!!
So as i mentioned before, we are over the half way point for the semester. This week comming up is speakers week. We have 2 speakers coming in from different areas, Rob Dingman who is an american missionary out in England, and also Raphael (i don't know his last name yet) who is the dean of the campus in mallorca, Spain. So please pray for there safe arrival here.
So far it is looking like i will be flying back around the 18th of December the date isn't final yet, but it should be around that time, it will be nice to see everyone again, and to spend christmas with the family.
i love all of you guys, and please forgive me for not keeping in contact the best.

So that is basically what has been going on in a nutshell, here, i hope to steadily update this once a week. If you want more information, or want me to add you to my mailing list for my missions letters, please let me know on facebook, or email me ( emaillomas@gmail.com )
